Terms and Conditions

1. The service

Pura Vida Negocios ("the platform") is a Costa Rican advertising directory with a public ranking. Businesses make advertising payments to increase their visibility and hold a position within the ranking. There are no bets, chance, prizes or distribution of funds to third parties: each payment buys only advertising exposure within the platform.

2. Nature of the ranking

This is an advertising placement directory: position is determined by accumulated advertising amount and does not represent an evaluation, certification, endorsement or recommendation regarding the quality, reputation or consumer preference of any business. The profile with the highest accumulated advertising amount appears higher.

3. Prices, VAT and invoicing

Amounts are expressed in colones and include the applicable VAT. Electronic invoices are issued through a system authorized by Costa Rica's Dirección General de Tributación and sent to the business in accordance with Costa Rican regulations.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are received in colones via SINPE Móvil, with manual verification of the receipt through WhatsApp. Position and exposure apply once the payment is confirmed.

Payments are final once the position is activated and exposure has begun. A refund applies only in the case of a duplicate payment, an error attributable to the platform, a service that cannot be activated, or a profile rejected before publication. Refunds are made to the same SINPE number on the submitted receipt, within 15 to 30 days. No refund applies when a profile is suspended due to the business's own breach (for example, fraud or a restricted activity), nor for subsequent changes in position, visits, clicks, contacts or sales.

5. Profiles, content and authorization

Whoever registers a business declares being authorized to represent it and that its information is real, and authorizes Pura Vida Negocios to publish the business's name, description, logo, images and contact channels for exposure purposes within the platform. The platform may review, edit, reject or suspend profiles that break the ranking rules or engage in restricted activities. A suspended profile keeps its accounting history but is no longer shown publicly.

6. Registration and positioning by third parties

Pura Vida Negocios recommends that a business be registered and positioned by its owner, manager or authorized representative. However, a third party may request that a business be added and make an advertising contribution to position it within the ranking.

The person who submits the request and the payment declares that the information provided is true to the best of their knowledge and assumes responsibility for adding the business and for any information, logo, photograph, image or material they request to use on the profile. They further declare that they hold the permissions, authorizations or rights needed to request its publication.

A payment made by a third party is applied to the business's accumulated advertising amount, and the business will hold the corresponding position within the ranking after Pura Vida Negocios verifies and confirms the payment via SINPE Móvil.

Making the payment does not make the third party the owner, administrator, manager, representative or official spokesperson of the business, nor does it grant them any rights over its trade name, brand, logo, photographs or other content.

Pura Vida Negocios may review, correct, replace or remove any information or visual element, and may hide or suspend the profile upon receiving a legitimate request or claim from the owner, representative or holder of the corresponding rights.

The legitimate owner or representative of the business may request the correction of information, the replacement or removal of images, the administration of the profile or its withdrawal via ranking@puravidanegocios.com. Pura Vida Negocios may request reasonable information to verify that relationship.

Any refund will be resolved in accordance with the conditions set out in the Payments and refunds section of these Terms.

7. Promotional credits

The platform may grant promotional launch credits to certain businesses or creators. A promotional credit is a courtesy: it is not withdrawable or transferable money, it grants position and exposure, and it stands until another business exceeds it. Internally it is recorded as credit, separate from paid amounts, and does not constitute a real payment.

8. Metrics

Visits and clicks are measured with filters against automated or repetitive traffic. The numbers shown correspond to events recorded by the platform; they are not sold or inflated.

9. Liability

The platform lists businesses and does not participate in transactions between businesses and their customers. Appearing on the ranking does not constitute verification, endorsement or guarantee of any business. The platform's liability is limited to the amount paid.

10. Responsible party and applicable law
